LISC Indianapolis Celebrates Small Business Week by Honoring 475th Small Business Façade Grant
Funds still available for 2018 grants, 500th façade will likely be awarded this year
INDIANAPOLIS, April 27, 2018 – Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Indianapolis invites you to celebrate National Small Business Week by joining us on the site of the newest Small Business Façade & Property Improvement Grant recipient to celebrate our 475th façade grant award and over $3.1 million awarded through this program.

The Small Business Façade & Property Improvement Grant supports small businesses in Indianapolis with the goals of creating jobs, removing blight along key commercial corridors, and fostering a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem that creates opportunity for neighborhood residents. The newest recipient, True North Landscaping, is a growing small business that moved to their location in North Mass in March 2016 where they have created six new jobs and are eager to make upgrades to their business façade, located at a highly visible entry point into the Near Eastside.
Stacey Poynter, District Director of the Indiana District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be present to share information about the importance of Small Business Week and the impact of the SBA. Deputy Mayor of Economic Development Angela Smith Jones will share a Small Business Week proclamation from the Mayor’s Office. LISC will share history and updates about the Small Business Façade & Property Improvement Grant program. True North Landscaping owner, Cory Gliege, will share the history of his business and give tours of the site and an overview of their services.
Façade Program to Reach 500 Businesses in 2018: Funds Still Remain
