Accomplishments
In neighborhoods across Indianapolis, LISC is doing more than helping improve physical and economic conditions. We’re helping neighbors imagine what they want their communities to become--and take the steps they need to drive neighborhood revitalization.

Our efforts are based on the proven principle that sustainable revitalization works best when it is driven by community residents and stakeholders, not imposed from the outside. So LISC works with local nonprofit community development organizations to help transform distressed urban neighborhoods into healthy communities that are great places to live, work, do business, and raise families.

LISC invests directly in our neighborhoods. We also mobilize corporate and philanthropic support, providing loans, grants and equity investments, policy support, and the technical and management assistance neighbors need to realize their goals.

And our efforts are paying off. See some great examples of what’s working.
